A golf cart or LSV is a great way to explore Wild Dunes, from the golf courses to the beach accesses. However, golf cart rentals in Wild Dunes are restricted to protect the area’s natural beauty. Only LSVs from approved companies are allowed on the resort past the gate.

Our fleet consists of convenient, eco-friendly multi-passenger carts, making them an excellent choice for families, friends and other traveling groups. They are street legal, have a top speed of 25 mph, and are fully compliant with the South Carolina Code of Laws. This means you can use our LSVs to drive on any street with a posted speed limit of 35 mph or less, including to and from the beaches, golf courses and your rental property.

The BeachyFun 4 Passenger LSV is our standard model, ideal for families on vacation at the Wild Dunes resort. This fully electric LSV has a seating capacity of four, with a pair of seats facing forward and another facing rearward.

The BeachyFun 6 Passenger LSV is designed for large families or big friend groups. It is an elongated version of the BeachyFun 4 Pass featuring three seat rows instead of two: two rows of front-facing seats plus a rear-facing row.

One of the main reasons to visit Wild Dunes is golfing in the stunning South Carolina Lowcountry. The Wild Dunes Resort is home to two 18-hole courses. One was designed by legendary course architect Tom Fazio, who hosted the U.S. Senior Amateur in 1985. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned player, there is no better place in the entire IOP to hit the links.

If you are looking for a fantastic beach bar with some of the best burgers and seafood dishes on this side of the Breach Inlet, visit the Beachside Burgers & Bar. This fun eatery is located opposite the Boardwalk Inn and is the place to be if you want a dining experience with an unforgettable beach view. Also be sure to check out Coastal Crust, located in the Sweetgrass Pavilion, for delicious wood-fired pizza and cocktails.

Wildlife Viewing

On the other side of Wild Dunes, north of the Resort, you will find the wetlands and its untamed natural beauty. Wild Dunes is home to a surveyed and documented population of alligators, coyotes and sea turtles, which you can see in the wild during various seasons. Numerous seabirds, such as herons, sandpipers and ospreys, regularly visit and fly around Wild Dunes, making it a delight for birdwatchers and ornithologists.
